This release improves how you generate, organize, and manage clips inside Reap with a new Cinema genre, clearer publishing visibility, safer clip cleanup, and several workflow improvements.
Cinema Genre
We’ve added a new Cinema genre for clip creation.
ezgif
Cinema is designed for videos that need a more cinematic, polished, or story-driven feel. It helps Reap better understand the editing direction when generating clips from long-form content.
Best for:
  • Storytelling videos
  • Documentary-style content
  • Interviews
  • Product stories
  • Dramas and movies
  • Educational videos with a polished tone
Publishing and Scheduling Labels on Clips
You can now see publishing and scheduling labels directly on clips.
ezgif
If a clip has already been scheduled or prepared for publishing, Reap now shows that status in front of the clip so you can quickly understand what has already been planned.
Why it matters
When you’re working with many clips in one project, it can be hard to remember which ones are still drafts, which ones are scheduled, and which ones are ready to publish.
These labels make clip management much clearer.
What this helps with
  • Avoid scheduling the same clip twice
  • Quickly identify clips that are already planned
  • Manage publishing workflows more confidently
  • Keep teams aligned when multiple people are working on the same project
  • Review content status without opening every clip manually
Delete Unnecessary Clips
This makes it easier to clean up your project, remove low-quality clips, and focus only on the clips that matter.
ezgif
Why it matters
AI clipping can generate multiple options from a long video. Not every clip needs to stay in your workspace.
Now you can remove unnecessary clips and keep your project cleaner, easier to review, and easier to manage.
Best for
  • Removing duplicate clips
  • Cleaning up rejected drafts
  • Keeping only the strongest moments
  • Making large projects easier to navigate
  • Preparing a final set of clips for publishing
Toolbar Search and Clip Search
We’ve added better search controls to help you find the right clips faster.
You can now search from the toolbar and quickly filter through clips inside a project without manually scrolling through every generated result. Not only clips but you can also find your projects in the projects search tool bar.
What this helps with
  • Finding specific clips faster
  • Reviewing large projects more easily
  • Searching by clip title or related text
  • Moving from generation to editing with less friction
  • Helping teams navigate projects with many drafts

Romanized Captions for Multilingual Videos

For example, this is useful when your audience understands the spoken language but finds Romanized text easier to read on fast-moving short-form videos.

Why it matters
MCP gives teams a new way to work with Reap from AI-powered environments. Instead of only using the app manually, supported tools can connect to Reap and help users trigger workflows, access project actions, and build more automated content pipelines.
This is especially useful for teams that want to connect Reap into their broader AI workflow.

  • OAuth authorization flow for secure account connection.
  • A stronger foundation for AI-agent workflows around video creation, clipping, captions, and publishing.
Best for
  • Developers building AI-powered workflows
  • Teams using automation tools
  • Agencies managing repeated video workflows
  • Users who want to connect Reap into their AI workspace
You can read the full setup guide in the Reap MCP docs.
This release is all about making Reap easier to scale whether you’re managing brand assets across projects or connecting Reap to your internal tools.
Asset Library
We’ve introduced an
Asset Library
so you can store and reuse your most important brand assets without re-uploading them every time.
What you can do
  • Keep commonly used assets organized in one place
  • Reuse assets across projects and templates
  • Speed up repetitive editing workflows for teams, agencies, and creators
Why it matters
Brand consistency shouldn’t depend on remembering which file you uploaded last time. The Asset Library helps you build once and reuse everywhere.
How to use
Open
Asset Library
from your workspace and upload the assets you use most often. Then select them when creating/editing templates or editing clips.
Webhooks (new)
Reap now supports
Webhooks
, so you can automatically notify your systems when key events happen inside Reap.
changelog-ezgif
Why it matters
Webhooks unlock real automation:
  • Sync Reap activity into your internal tools
  • Trigger workflows when jobs complete
  • Build integrations without manual checking or polling
How to use
Go to
Settings → Webhooks
, add your endpoint, and start receiving updates on your project progress.
Reap Agent Skills
Reap now supports Agent Skills, giving AI coding agents deep knowledge of the Reap Automation API.
Once installed, your AI agent can understand Reap endpoints, request and response schemas, authentication, enums, and common workflows, so developers can build integrations faster without manually switching back and forth between code and documentation.
Why it matters
Agent Skills make Reap easier to build with.
Developers can now ask their AI coding agent to help create Reap-powered workflows, generate integration code, debug API calls, and build complete automation pipelines with Reap’s API context already available.
What your agent can help with
  • Generating upload → clipping → status polling pipelines.
  • Creating caption, transcription, reframe, dubbing, and publishing workflows.
  • Debugging API errors using Reap documentation context.
Read the full setup guide in the Reap Agent Skills docs.
