This week's release is all about the editor. Cuts, splits and speed changes on sped-up segments now land in the right place and keep captions in step. Audiograms and sounds play smoothly from the first frame, and saves with B-roll are faster. AI Emoji and AI Highlight Words no longer break saving on clips with stickers or text, and caption timing edits now save reliably.
Improvements
Editor
- Audiograms and sounds placed at the start of a clip now play from the very first frame in the preview, without a short stall each time playback starts.
- Audiograms that start partway through a clip now load their audio in advance, so playback no longer pauses when it reaches them.
- Saving and exporting clips with B-roll is faster. B-roll that was already uploaded is no longer uploaded again on every save.
- When a clip has reached its export limit, the editor now says so instead of showing a general export failure.
Captions
- Caption lines in new clips now match the editor's timing to the frame, and no longer start a new line after a colon. Lines keep their shape when you open the clip in the editor.
Fixes
Editor
- Running AI Emoji or AI Highlight Words on a clip with stickers or text no longer empties them. Before, every save after that failed with "reap could not be reached".
- Cutting, splitting or removing words in a sped-up segment now cuts at the right point. Before, a cut at 1.5× replayed part of the video and dropped its end.
- Changing a segment's speed now moves everything after it, including later segments, captions and audiograms. Before, captions were left behind under the changed segment.
- Captions on sped-up segments now show and regenerate all of their words, not just part of them.
- Dropping an element over several others on the same row keeps them in their original order.
- Removing a timeline gap keeps the selected video selected, instead of emptying its settings panel.
- Undoing a caption preset or max-words change now restores the saved captions.
- Selecting a caption, or using Reset Timeline without making edits, no longer marks the clip as having unsaved changes.
- The export status card is no longer hidden behind the canvas.
Captions & Timings
- Word timing edits in the Timings panel now save on clips from 29.97 and 59.94 fps videos, and repeated nudges add up instead of replacing each other.
- You can now pick an emoji for the first word of a caption, and pick the same emoji for two words in a row. The find-and-replace emoji picker no longer also changes the selected word.
- Clips that start at the very beginning of a video no longer carry the whole video's transcript in their captions.
Dubbing moves to a new, more reliable engine that handles long videos without failing or getting stuck. New projects on paid plans now start at 1080p, in the app and through the Automation API and MCP. Large uploads such as 4K HDR phone videos also prepare much faster. This release also stops scheduled TikTok posts from occasionally publishing twice, lets you delete Brand Kit files that no template uses anymore, and fixes sign-in when connecting Reap through MCP.
A New, More Reliable Dubbing Engine
Dubbing now runs on a rebuilt engine that uses the latest version of our translation service.
- Long videos and busy periods no longer make dubs fail. The engine waits as long as the translation needs, and a dub that finishes later than expected is still delivered.
- Dubbing projects created through the Automation API or MCP now complete while you check their status or details, the same way they do in the app.
Paid Projects Now Start at 1080p
- New Clips, Captions, Audiogram and Editor projects on an active paid plan start with 1080p selected. Free plans still start at 720p.
- A saved default or a Brand Template's resolution still takes priority when one applies.
- In the Automation API and MCP, create-clips and create-captions now default to 1080p when no resolution is sent. Free plan requests stay at 720p.

Improvements
Processing
Large uploads, such as 4K HDR iPhone videos, now prepare on more powerful machines. The preparation step finishes up to about three times faster, so clipping starts sooner.
Brand Kit
When a file can't be deleted because a template still uses it, the message now names that template and says how many others use it.

Fixes
- Scheduled TikTok posts no longer occasionally publish twice.
- If a project can't start processing, it now fails with a refund and a prompt to try again in a few minutes, instead of staying in Processing.
- Logos, intros, outros and backgrounds whose template was deleted can now be deleted. Before, they were blocked with a message to delete a template that no longer existed.
- Deleting a custom font now also removes its file from your uploads. Clips that already use the font are not affected.
- Connecting Reap to an AI assistant through MCP now opens sign-in on the password screen. Signing in with a password or an email code returns you to the connection screen to finish.
The editor now gives you much finer control over the canvas and timeline. You can zoom and pan the preview and timeline, resize text and captions right on the canvas, and edit or delete a selected element without leaving it. This release also adds an animated Stickers library, lets you remove any solid background color instead of only green, and keeps bulk downloads running while you work elsewhere. It also fixes Brand Template captions, bulk scheduling and project-creation failures.
Pan and Zoom the Preview and Timeline
- A new zoom control in the preview lets you zoom in, zoom out, return to Fit, or lock the view.
- Hold Ctrl/⌘ while scrolling to zoom around the pointer, so the part you're working on stays in focus. Scroll or drag to pan across a zoomed preview. The editor grid moves with the canvas.
- Locking the canvas turns off both gesture and button zoom until you unlock it.
- Zoom the timeline from 1× to 30× with Ctrl/⌘ + scroll or a trackpad pinch, centered on your pointer. The ruler adjusts its detail as you zoom.
- A horizontal scrollbar makes long, zoomed timelines easier to move through with a mouse, and Reset returns to a fitted view.
Resize and Position Text and Captions
- Text and caption boxes can now be resized directly on the canvas. Text wraps to the width you choose and the box height adjusts to fit.
- Arrow keys move the selected element by 1 pixel; Shift + Arrow moves it by 10 pixels.
- Focus a resize or crop handle and use Ctrl/⌘ + Arrow for precise keyboard adjustments. Add Shift for larger steps.
- Holding a movement or resize key creates one undo step instead of one for every repeated keypress.
Edit Directly from the Canvas
- Selecting an element now shows Edit and Delete controls on the canvas.
- Edit opens the right settings panel for that element, including Brand Kit asset settings.
- Delete works the same way as the timeline controls. In Brand Templates, removing an intro, outro, background, or logo also restores the surrounding layout correctly.
Animated Stickers
The new Stickers panel is available in the desktop and mobile editor on paid plans.
- Browse or search a library of 411 animated emoji stickers and add one at the playhead.
- Adjust each sticker's looping, playback speed, and opacity.
- Add entrance and exit animations. They stay aligned when you trim the sticker.
- Selecting a sticker on the timeline opens its settings and moves the playhead there, like other timeline elements.
Remove Any Solid Background Color
Background removal is no longer limited to green screens.
- Choose the color to remove with a swatch, a hex value, or an eyedropper that samples the current video or image frame.
- Blue screens and other colored backdrops now work, as well as green.
- White, gray, and black backgrounds are matched by brightness for a cleaner result.
- Existing projects keep their green-screen settings unless you choose another color.
Downloads That Continue While You Work
Bulk downloads now keep running after you close the download dialog or go to another page in Reap. A floating progress card follows you around the app. Drag it out of the way or minimize it to a compact progress ring, and click it to return to the project being downloaded.

- Timeline height is now kept only for the current editing session. Opening another project starts with a height that fits its rows, instead of carrying over a layout from a previous clip.
- The Create Project menu now lists every available project tool on desktop and mobile.

- The Brand Template editor no longer crashes when the preview appears before a custom template font has loaded.
- Applying a Brand Template made for a different orientation no longer pushes the caption box outside the frame. Captions stay visible and keep the template's rotation and scale.

Bulk Download, Faster Brand Templates & Audiogram Fixes
You can now pick several clips from a project and download them together as a single zip. This release also makes Brand Kit template editing faster and more dependable, shows each post's status in the calendar's week view, and keeps Audiogram progress on screen after a page refresh. It also fixes Audiograms getting stuck in Processing, scheduled posts failing after a teammate is removed, renders failing on files with long names, and several transcript colour issues.
Download Multiple Clips at Once
The project page toolbar now has a Download button next to Publish and Export.
- Pick the clips you want from the list. Only clips that have finished exporting can be selected.
- A single clip downloads as a normal video file. Several clips are saved together as one zip.
- In Chrome and other Chromium browsers, you choose where the zip is saved and it's written straight to disk, so large downloads don't need to fit in memory.

Improvements
Brand Templates
- Brand media previews appear sooner and no longer wait for background thumbnail extraction to finish.
- Upload progress remains visible when you switch between Brand Kit tabs, and finishing an upload no longer pulls you away from the panel you're using.
- When a Brand Kit template adds or removes timeline rows, the timeline dock now resizes to keep those rows visible.
Calendar
- Week-view calendar cards now show each post's status, so completed, draft, processing, failed, and unresolved posts are distinguishable at a glance.
Audiograms
- Refreshing the page while an Audiogram is being created now restores its progress screen and continues following the same project.
Transcript Colours
- The colour picker stays open while you drag outside its bounds, making precise colour and opacity adjustments easier.

Fixes
Audiograms
- Audiograms using romanized captions, including projects in languages such as Hindi and Arabic, now continue into the draft instead of remaining in Processing.
- If Audiogram draft creation fails, the project now ends with a clear failure state and the appropriate credit refund instead of hanging indefinitely.
- Empty transcripts no longer leave an Audiogram stuck during processing.
- Uploaded Audiogram background images now keep their original proportions instead of being stretched.
Brand Templates
- New intro and outro uploads now receive a real video thumbnail instead of a black preview.
- If you edit the timeline while an intro, outro, logo, background, or thumbnail is uploading, the completed upload is now applied to your latest timeline rather than overwriting those edits.
- Replacing an outro keeps the original start position, removing the empty gap that could appear before the replacement.
- Brand-template text and hook fonts now scale with the clip's export resolution, keeping their intended size across different output qualities.
Transcript & Colours
- Selecting the transcript word currently being played no longer moves the preview back to the start of that word.
- Opacity changes and transcript word-colour selections now apply correctly.
- Transparent highlight colours remain visible in the swatch list instead of appearing blank.
Publishing
- Scheduled posts continue publishing even if the teammate who scheduled them is later removed from the workspace.
Rendering
- Projects that use an uploaded file with a very long name, such as a long title in Tamil or another non-Latin script, now render instead of failing.
Projects & Assets
- Rapidly changing project filters, sorting, pagination, or search no longer causes one selection to overwrite another.
- In Assets, opening Fonts and then switching tabs now takes you to the tab you selected instead of returning to Fonts.
You can now record voiceovers, camera video, and audio without leaving the editor. Reap also remembers your preferred settings for every project type, the Free plan now includes one social connection and daily publishing, and failed renewal payments no longer remove paid features while Stripe is still retrying. This release also improves timeline playback, mobile editing, Urdu captions, Brand Kit safety, checkout, and Reap MCP in ChatGPT.
Record Voiceovers in the Editor
The editor now has a dedicated Voiceover tool for recording narration while your video plays.
- Start recording from any point on the timeline after a 3–2–1 countdown. Your new take is placed exactly where you started.
- The preview is muted during recording so its audio is not captured by your microphone, then restored automatically when you finish.
- Reap compensates for browser and microphone startup delay so recorded narration stays in sync.
- AI Voice now lives in the same Voiceover panel, making recorded and generated narration available in one place.
- The Assets panel can now record camera video or audio directly, with device selection and a live input-level meter.
Save Your Project Settings as Defaults
Set up a project once, save those choices, and Reap will preselect them the next time you create that type of project.
- Save as default settings is now available for Clips, Captions, Audiograms, Auto Reframe, AI Editor, Dubbing, and Transcription.
- Defaults are saved separately for each project type and workspace.
- Reap checks saved templates, caption styles, languages, and other choices against what is currently available before restoring them.
- Project-specific content, such as source media, trim ranges, topics, prompts, overlay text, and uploaded files are never carried into the next project.
MCP and more Included on the Free Plan
Free workspaces can now connect Reap to more of their workflow:
- Connect one social account and publish or schedule one post per day.
- Connect one MCP client and create one project at a time through Reap MCP.
- Create Clips and Captions through MCP at up to 720p, within the workspace's available credits.
- Bulk scheduling, other features than clipping, captions and direct Automation API keys remain paid features.
Timeline and Mobile Editing Improvements
- The timeline now follows the playhead during playback, keeping the current moment in view when you're zoomed in or on mobile editor.
- On phones, the selection bar now includes Settings, opening the correct panel for the selected item directly.
Billing and Checkout
- A failed renewal no longer drops a workspace to the Free plan while Stripe is still retrying the payment. Paid features remain available during the retry window.
- Workspace admins see a Payment failed notice with a Pay now button that opens the unpaid invoice. Other members are prompted to contact their admin.
- Admins now receive an email when a paid subscription ends and the workspace moves to the Free plan.
Automation API
- Read limits have increased to 60 requests per minute and write limits to 30 requests per minute, per API key and endpoint. Project-creation endpoints remain at 10 requests per minute.
- Responses now include rate-limit limit, remaining, and reset headers, making client-side pacing and retries easier to manage.
Reap MCP
- Fixed clip previews in ChatGPT showing cards with titles and scores but no video. Previews now load and play again.
- The permission screen shown when you connect an MCP client now spells out what you're granting: access to workspace content, processing that uses media or AI credits, editing and cancelling projects, public or scheduled social posts, and billing links. It also explains how to revoke access and what revoking does and doesn't stop.
Captions, Templates, and Export Fixes
- Urdu captions now use explicit Urdu-compatible fonts, and Nastaliq is available in the font picker.
- Brand Kit template editing now warns before a refresh, tab close, Back action, or navigation would discard unsaved changes.
- Reopening an Audiogram project now switches to the correct Templates or Brand templates tab and waits for saved defaults to finish loading before showing the selection.

Fixes
Timeline & Playback
- When playback reaches the end, the playhead now returns to the beginning, and the Play/Pause button always reflects what the preview is actually doing.
- Scrubbing the ruler now stays aligned with your pointer, even if the timeline scrolls while you drag.
Mobile
- Fixed the Publish button on the project page doing nothing when tapped on phones and tablets.
- Touch tooltips no longer get stuck open. Important explanations, including disabled controls and billing information, remain tappable.
Media & Uploads
- Photos now keep their original orientation when added to the editor or Brand Kit.
Export
- Choosing None for a 3D layout now saves and exports correctly, including on projects that already stored the older no-effect value.
The clip editor now works properly on your phone. Every part of it, from the tool strip to the timeline, has been redesigned for small screens and touch, so you can trim, move, style, and publish clips from wherever you are. On every device, you can now resize the timeline to give the preview more room, playback is smoother on long captioned clips, and the editor protects unsaved work and offers a full keyboard-shortcut reference. This update also fixes Facebook Pages going missing when you connect them, long non-English videos failing during translation, and projects getting stuck in Processing.
The Editor, Rebuilt for Mobile
Until now the editor was a desktop tool that happened to open on a phone. Controls were cut off on narrow screens, a swipe on the timeline would drag a clip instead of scrolling, tools were unlabelled icons, and adding something from the bottom sheet looked like nothing happened. All of that has changed.
Fits every phone
- The editor now fits even the narrowest phones with no sideways scrolling. The Export button is always within reach, and the playback controls no longer overlap.
- Every tool in the mobile tool strip has a label under its icon, so you never have to guess what an icon does. The strip scrolls with arrows at either end.
- The Brand Kit template gallery fills the width of the screen.
- Tapping a search or text field no longer zooms the page on iPhone.
A timeline you can use with your fingers
- Swipe to scroll, hold to edit. A short hold on a clip lets you move or trim it. A plain swipe scrolls the timeline instead of dragging whatever was under your finger.
- The clip shows which edit the hold will make: the whole clip lifts for a move, one edge grows for a trim. A short vibration confirms the hold on phones that support it.
- Small clips can be moved, not just trimmed. Whether you're moving or trimming is decided by where you press, so even a tiny clip keeps a draggable middle.
- Dragging a clip toward the edge of the timeline scrolls it, so you can drop the clip beyond what's visible.
More room for the preview
- The timeline can be resized on phones. A grip is always visible on its top edge: drag it to give the preview more room, or double-tap it to collapse the timeline entirely. The height you choose is remembered separately for your phone and your desktop.
- The preview immediately reflows when you resize the timeline, so a portrait clip uses the full space you give it.
- On portrait clips, the selection actions now sit in a vertical bar beside the preview instead of a horizontal bar that ran off the edge.
See what you add
- Adding an asset, stock media, a sound, text, or an effect from the bottom sheet now jumps the preview to the new item so you see your change right away. Items you'll keep editing, like text and B-roll, stay open in their editor.
- Caption presets load far faster on every device: only the preset you've selected or are previewing plays, instead of all of them at once.
- Deleting a saved upload removes it from the open editor immediately.
Also on mobile
- On the project page, the clip card footer no longer overlaps on phones. The edit time now sits under the clip title, and the Details label appears when there's room for it.
Resize the Timeline
- The timeline used to take a fixed amount of space for every row, so a project with many rows left very little room for a portrait preview on a Desktop.
- Drag the top edge of the timeline to make it taller or shorter. Your preferred height is remembered on each device.
- When your rows don't all fit, they scroll within the timeline, with the time ruler staying in view.
- Double-tap the edge to collapse the timeline down to just the playback controls and ruler, giving the preview the whole screen.
- When you drag a clip toward the top or bottom of the timeline, it scrolls to reveal the rows out of view, so you can drop the clip anywhere.
Smoother Playback
- Playback in the editor is now noticeably smoother on long clips with detailed captions, with fewer dropped frames and stutters.
- The playhead no longer draws over the timeline's row controls.
Never Lose Work
- The editor header now shows whether your project has unsaved edits, and when it was last saved.
- Leaving the editor with unsaved changes prompts you, with Save and leave as the default. Closing the tab, reloading, and now the browser's Back button all warn too. Previously a single press of Back discarded your changes.
- Undo and redo now restore everything a save includes, not just timeline items: caption style values, the caption preset and brand template selection, the captions toggle, and face-tracking settings. Picking a brand template undoes as a single step.
- Save and export failures are reported separately, so the suggested fix matches what went wrong. The Save button disables once everything is saved.
Keyboard Shortcuts & Accessibility
- A Keyboard shortcuts reference is built in. Press ? anywhere in the editor, or open it from the timeline settings. Tooltips show the correct keys for Mac and Windows.
- Space now plays and pauses the preview. Option + Space still works too. Space is ignored while you're typing or have a button selected, so it never triggers the wrong action.
- Ctrl/⌘ + S saves a draft, and the arrow keys step one frame at a time.
- Every icon-only control now has a name for screen readers, and caption presets, text templates, sound effects, saved uploads, and brand templates can be operated by keyboard with a visible focus ring.
- Confirmation dialogs open with focus on the action you asked for, so Enter confirms instead of dismissing.
- Escape closes the innermost surface first: a picker, then a word selection, then the mobile sheet.
- On desktop, the resize edge of a clip lights up when the pointer is over it.
Editing Conveniences and Fixes
- Every timeline row now has a delete button next to its drag handle. Deleting a row removes everything on it. The last remaining row can't be deleted.
- Applying a Brand Kit template no longer moves your text and sound items onto the caption row or replaces your captions. Every item stays where you put it.
- Turning on AI Emoji no longer switches off AI Highlight Words, and vice versa.
- The clip list on the project page now opens expanded, so your clips are visible right away. Collapse it whenever you want more room.
Facebook Pages
Last week we launched publishing to Facebook Pages. But Facebook didn't list all the Pages you'd authorised, so the picker came up empty. That's fixed.
- Pages that Facebook leaves out of its list are now found automatically.
- If a Page still doesn't appear, use Missing a Page? and enter its Page ID. Reap checks that it can publish there before offering it to you, and never connects a Page without you choosing it.
- The picker stays open when no Pages come back, and you can retry without signing in to Facebook again.
- If only some Pages could be loaded, the picker tells you and lets you retry while keeping the ones it already found.
- Connected Facebook accounts no longer appear to expire after an hour. Existing connections are corrected automatically.
- A brief Facebook outage no longer disconnects your account, and no longer stops the same post from going out to your other channels, such as YouTube.
Publishing & Automation API
- A scheduled post you've deleted stays deleted. Previously, editing a deleted post through the Automation API, the MCP, or the dashboard could quietly bring it back to life and publish it on schedule. Those requests now return not found.
Processing Reliability
- Fixed long videos in languages such as Vietnamese failing with "Translation failed. Please retry in a few minutes." Longer videos now translate and complete as expected.
- Projects whose clips fail to render now end with a clear failure message and refunded credits, instead of sitting in Processing indefinitely. If some clips in a clipping project succeed, the project still completes with those clips.
Reap MCP
- The list_videosandlist_publisher_postsstatus filters now accept the real status values. Filters such as published and scheduled were previously rejected.
- Reap MCP now supports the latest MCP protocol, so newer clients such as Codex connect faster and more reliably. Existing clients are unaffected.
This release adds Facebook Pages as a publishing destination. It also brings updates to how clips are exported from the editor, and fixes a batch of editor, Brand Kit, calendar, and sign-in issues.
Publish to Facebook Pages
You can now connect Facebook Pages to Reap and schedule clips to them alongside your other channels.
What's new
- Choose Facebook Page in Connect Socials and sign in with Facebook. Reap lists the Pages you authorized and can create content for, and you pick which to connect. You can connect more later.
- Connected Pages appear as destinations in calendar posts, project publishing, and bulk scheduling, and in the calendar's connections sidebar and filters.
- Pick a Post format for each Facebook post: Reel or Video. Reel is the default.
- Facebook requires Page posts published through connected apps to be public, so visibility is fixed to Public.
- The Automation API accepts a facebook.contentTypesetting of reel or video when scheduling to a Page.
Export Updates
- Exporting from the editor has been updated to give you more control over the quality of the finished clip, within your plan's export allowance.
Editor & Brand Kit Fixes
- Fixed custom caption font, size, and colour edits being reset to the template's stock style after saving a draft when you had switched templates.
- Asset and font deletions that the server refuses no longer appear to succeed; the item stays and the reason is shown.
- Pressing Enter in a delete confirmation now confirms the delete instead of dismissing the dialog, in the Brand Kit, clip, and webhook dialogs.
Calendar & Publishing
- Editing a scheduled post now shows the attached video in a read-only card, with the project it came from and a link to the clip, instead of an empty upload box. The video on a scheduled post can't be changed, and the card now says so.
- Provider settings in Post Settings, calendar posts, and bulk scheduling are now grouped per platform with dividers, so it's clear which platform a setting belongs to.
- Scheduled posts now publish correctly even if you chose to sign out of all other devices after scheduling them.
Assets Library
- The Assets library now keeps the selected tab and grid or list view in the page URL, so a reload, Back, or a shared link returns to the same view.
Sign-In & Source-Link Reliability
- Sign-in, sign-up, verification, password reset, and callback screens now show a "try again" message when a request fails before any response, such as when you're offline. They previously stayed silent.
- The confirmation shown after setting a password now stays visible after the redirect.
- Portrait YouTube sources now download at the resolution you selected. Previously a 1080p portrait video could be fetched at 480p and processed at that quality.
- Pasted video links that take too long to read now return a clear message with guidance to try again or upload the file directly, instead of a generic error after a long wait.

Cancellable Uploads, Caption Style Fixes & Safer Clip Deletion
This release lets you cancel any upload in progress, fixes caption presets and Brand Kit templates reverting when you save a draft, corrects portrait clips being saved as landscape, and protects clips from being deleted while they are still rendering. It also fixes YouTube Shorts posts losing their title and description, and makes pasted video links more reliable.
Cancel Uploads
- A Cancel control now appears while videos and assets are uploading.
- Cancellation is available across project creation, the Assets library, editor media uploads, backgrounds, intros and outros, and Calendar publishing.
- Calendar uploads now show their actual upload progress before processing begins.
- Cancelling stops the transfer cleanly without showing a misleading error.
- Small-file uploads that fail now report the error instead of leaving the upload spinner running forever.
Caption & Editor Fixes
- Fixed caption presets and Brand Kit templates reverting to the clip's original style after saving a draft.
- Portrait sources now open with the correct orientation and crop defaults; previously some videos were read as a non-standard aspect ratio and treated as landscape.
- Audiogram projects can now insert new audio-and-caption segments without requiring a video layer.
Safer Clip Management
- Clips can no longer be deleted while their project is processing or while the clip is being exported.
- Bulk deletion skips clips that are still in flight and tells you how many were not deleted, while removing the clips that are ready.
- Delete and duplicate messages now clearly say when a clip is being exported and when you can try again.
Publishing & Calendar
- Fixed YouTube Shorts posts publishing with only #Shorts as the title, description, or tags when your text already included that hashtag. Your full text is now kept.
- Posting to a second YouTube channel in the same post no longer replaces its tags with just Shorts.
Source-Link Reliability
- Loading details from pasted video links now stays responsive when a source provider is slow.
Reap MCP Connection
- Expired connection links now show a clear "start again" page instead of a raw error.

Auto Reframe for Creator Plans & Smoother Editing
This release brings Auto Reframe to Creator plans, adds a faster way to rearrange split-screen layouts, and improves transcript editing, uploads, and social publishing reliability.
Auto Reframe: Links, Trimming, Resolution & Creator Plans
Auto Reframe now has its own full creation page with more ways to bring in your video and control what gets reframed and it's now available on monthly and yearly Creator plans, letting Creator users turn landscape and other source videos into social-ready aspect ratios.
What's new
- Paste a video link to reframe a video straight from the web, no need to download and upload it first. Uploading a file from your device works as before.
- Trim before processing with a new time-frame slider: drag to select the part of the video you want reframed, up to 10 minutes.
- Choose your output resolution, with 1080p as the default. Creator plans support resolutions up to 1080p, matching the plan's export allowance, while Studio plans support the full available source resolution.
- The Automation API's create-reframe endpoint supports the same options for both plans: a source link or upload, an export resolution, and a start/end window.
Split-Screen Editing
- A new Swap top and bottom control lets you exchange the two videos in a split layout without rebuilding it.
- Each video's crop and position are preserved when swapping, along with the split divider.
- The control appears in the Editor beside the layout selector on desktop and in the mobile action bar.
Transcript & Caption Fixes
- Editing a word now updates the transcript and generated captions together, including when you save before leaving the word field.
- Corrected transcript words now remain consistent across the sidebar and Timings view after saving and reopening the clip.
- Fixed splitting or duplicating clips with captions or audiograms creating broken media references that could prevent previews from loading.
- Custom fonts with the same name now remain separate choices in the caption font picker.
Publishing & Connection Fixes
- Exported videos now use a social-platform-compatible frame rate between 24 and 60 FPS while preserving clip, caption, audio, and transition timing.
- Fixed Instagram connections opening an outdated authorization address.
- Failed large uploads now stop cleanly and show an error instead of causing another failure or leaving the upload flow hanging.
Captions Workflow
- After Reap loads the details for a pasted captions video link, the link is locked to prevent stale or mismatched source information.
- Use the clear button beside the link to remove it and start again with another video.

Password Sign-In & More Reliable Video Processing
This release gives you another way to access Reap with password sign-in, including password setup and recovery. It also fixes processing issues affecting large 4K videos and high-resolution vertical uploads, and improves compatibility when connecting Reap to supported AI assistants.
Password Sign-In
You can now sign in to Reap with a password while continuing to use the existing email-code flow whenever you prefer.
What's new
- Choose Sign in with password instead from the login page.
- Use Forgot password to receive a secure reset link by email.
- When resetting your password, you can choose whether to sign out of Reap on all other devices.
- After a successful password reset, you're signed in automatically so you can continue without another login step.
- Add or change your password from Settings → Account password, including accounts previously accessed through Google or email codes.
Video Processing Fixes
- Fixed vertical videos losing resolution during processing. High-resolution vertical uploads were downscaled along the wrong dimension, producing files below the selected quality. Vertical videos now retain the full resolution of the selected quality, and previews and thumbnails are generated at the correct dimensions.
- Fixed large 4K videos getting stuck in processing. Projects combining 4K output with very large source files could fail repeatedly during rendering and remain stuck in processing. These renders now run on higher-capacity infrastructure and complete reliably.
Connect Your AI
- Improved compatibility for AI assistants that discover Reap's sign-in configuration automatically.
- AI clients configured with Reap's API address now reach the correct MCP connection automatically.
