Password Sign-In & More Reliable Video Processing

This release gives you another way to access Reap with password sign-in, including password setup and recovery. It also fixes processing issues affecting large 4K videos and high-resolution vertical uploads, and improves compatibility when connecting Reap to supported AI assistants.

Password Sign-In

You can now sign in to Reap with a password while continuing to use the existing email-code flow whenever you prefer.

What's new

Choose Sign in with password instead from the login page.
Use Forgot password to receive a secure reset link by email.
When resetting your password, you can choose whether to sign out of Reap on all other devices.
After a successful password reset, you're signed in automatically so you can continue without another login step.
Add or change your password from Settings → Account password, including accounts previously accessed through Google or email codes.

Video Processing Fixes

Fixed vertical videos losing resolution during processing
. High-resolution vertical uploads were downscaled along the wrong dimension, producing files below the selected quality. Vertical videos now retain the full resolution of the selected quality, and previews and thumbnails are generated at the correct dimensions.
Fixed large 4K videos getting stuck in processing
. Projects combining 4K output with very large source files could fail repeatedly during rendering and remain stuck in processing. These renders now run on higher-capacity infrastructure and complete reliably.

Improved compatibility for AI assistants that discover Reap's sign-in configuration automatically.
AI clients configured with Reap's API address now reach the correct MCP connection automatically.
